It’s a hauntingly beautiful affair.
All events will take place in Cologne & Bergheim, where the wedding venue is located.
Kaila and James will be arriving in Germany the weekend before the wedding so, please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
There are a bunch of free time suggested activities on the website, and more will be added the closer we get. We want to make sure we can spend as much time together with you as possible in the days before the wedding, but we also want you to be able to plan out anything you’d like to do while you’re in the city.
Any details not yet provided are purely due to it being too early still, these times and locations will be updated and provided the closer we get to the wedding.

Polterabend – TBD
This event is for anyone who will already be in town this day and would like to join.
Polterabend is a German wedding custom in which, before the wedding, the guests break porcelain to bring luck to the couple's marriage. The belief in the effectiveness of this custom is expressed by the old adage:
“Scherben bringen Glück'“ - "Shards bring luck".

There will be a shuttle bus to accommodate all guests leaving from the hotel we will be partnering with (coming soon) at 3 pm sharp. Whether you’ll be staying at this hotel or not, unless you have alternate transport, please be timely and meet out front. The bus will also be back at the wedding venue at 10 PM to get everyone back into Cologne.
The bride and groom and anyone who would like to join is welcome to continue the festivities in the city after the wedding.
