kölner Hofbräu Früh

The Kölner Hofbräu FRÜH has been around for over 100 years. Since then, it has been standing for Cologne hospitality opposite Cologne Cathedral, for over 100 years of Cologne's history and more than 100 years of family tradition - and above all, for more than 100 years of delicious Kölsch beer. And this history is the story of our people, our satisfied guests, our customers and our family, because we, as direct descendants of the founder Peter Josef Früh, are still standing for Cologne hospitality today. We want to share with you our pride in the history of Kölner Hofbräu FRÜH and take you on a little journey through time on this page.

Gaffel am Dom

Gaffel am Dom is a family-owned brewery and pub in Cologne, Germany that opened in 2008. It's located in the Deichmannhaus, a traditional house between the main train station and the cathedral. The brewery offers a variety of Kölsch beers, as well as regional specialties and seasonal dishes, and has a relaxed brewery culture.

“You can feel the sunny Cologne spirit everywhere. This is where the metropolitan flair of the European hub of Cologne meets the village-like tranquility of Cologne: Spacious, bright areas with long counters, benches and tables on the one hand, cozy corners and retreats on the other.”

Brauhaus Sion

The heart of Sion Kölsch beats right in the middle of Cologne’s Old Town between the Cathedral and the Old Market Square. At Unter Taschenmacher No. 5 to be exact. A place with a history. Hospitality has been celebrated here since 1318, and this is where Jean Sion, scion of a brewers’ dynasty from the Eifel, laid the foundation for the Sion Kölsch success story that, four generations on, René Sion continues to this day.

Päffgen Brewery

Even though at the beginning of our brewery's history in 1883 our brewery was nowhere near as important as it is today, it was a matter close to our hearts from the very beginning. While our main business was selling draft beer - the Pittermännchen were delivered by our waiters on carts throughout the city center - our brewery was already serving Cologne classics such as "Krüstchen" or the "Halven Hahn". If a Pittermännchen, the name comes from the feast day of Peter and Paul on June 29th, was too much for you, you could use the siphon sale in the brewery. Incidentally, we are still happy to fill your siphons in the brewery today.

Brauhaus Reissdorf

We have been running the Reissdorf brewery at the Griechenmarkt since 2010 with a lot of passion and commitment.
We would be happy to welcome you to our “living room” and greet you with our fun-loving and warm manner.

Would you like to enjoy a typical Cologne dish with a certain flair and know-how? No problem with us... one of our 180 indoor seats is sure to be free for you.Enjoy ice-cold Reissdorf Kölsch outside? No problem either... our small but lovely beer garden with 60 seats right outside the door invites you to do so.

Peters Brauhaus

In 1544 the brewery “Zum Kranz” in Mühlengasse 1, today's Peters Brauhaus, was first mentioned in the tax records of the city of Cologne. Since such an entry required a large amount of brewed and sold beer, it was probably one of the leading breweries in the city even then.

Behind the old facade, which was completely restored after the war, condominiums and residential apartments with a cozy courtyard are being built. Until 1994, Rachel Silberstein's “Chez Alex” gourmet temple was located on the ground floor. In the summer of 1994, the Peters private brewery took the initiative and made the house what it was for many centuries: an original brewery, which is now called the Peters brewery.
