  • It should come as no surprise to anyone that a wedding on Halloween might have a bit of a theme.

    Now, please note that there is absolutely no pressure to get gussied up to the nines, if you are someone who like to keep their formal wear more casual, fall cocktail attire is perfect.

    For those who want to have fun with fashion, please do be creative with your attire. the overall aesthetic of the wedding is very much antique/vintage. With a combination between 1950's flare and an olden fairytale feel. But otherwise just use your best judgement.

    And no, please don't come in costume.

  • Yes! There is a sizable parking lot outside the castle.

    It is also a 7 minute walk to the castle from the Paffendorf train station if you are taking the 30 minute train ride in from Cologne.

  • We know many of you are traveling in from the states and we want to make this as stress free for you as possible!

    Under our Travel & Accommodations page, there will be helpful maps of the local airports and the train station, as well as any tips and tricks regarding booking your flight.

  • This is a majority child-free event. The only children in attendance will be the flower girls, Annie & Violet Borrison, and the ring bearers, Jonas & Kilian Gebler.

    We appreciate your understanding.

  • We would really appreciate if you kept your phones off and silenced during the ceremony and let the photographer capture all the magic without interference of waving iPhones.

    However, after the ceremony feel free to take as many photos as you like! There will also be disposable cameras around the reception hall so you can help be a part of collecting as many memories of the night as possible.

  • Absolutely! As many of you know, the bride is majority plant based, so there will be accommodation for apps and dinner that will suit most dietary needs.

    If you have a specific allergy not covered by vegetarian or dairy free options, i.e. a nut allergy, gluten intolerance, etc. Please let the bridal party know as soon as possible so we can make sure you are accommodated!

  • Yes! Please head to our Germany page which helps to break down local sights, shopping, museums, and restaurant and brewery recommendations!

  • The short answer is yes, we will be working to make arrangements with a hotel in Cologne. It is just too early as of right now (September 2023) but as soon as there is information of that hotel available as well as anything else relating to accommodations will be found on our Travel & Accommodations page.

  • There is a lot more in depth information on this in our Travel & Accommodations section.

    But in here are a few important pieces of info:

    • Do not exchange money beforehand. You will spend so much of exchange fees, do not do it.

    • If you want some cash on hand (which it is good to have,) you can take out money at local ATMs upon your arrival for a lesser fee. Or check if you have a card that is internationally friendly so you can skip paying any additional cost while abroad. You can also sign up for one of these cards in advance if that's something you're interested in and plan to travel abroad again.

    • Visa and Mastercard credit cards are widely accepted. American Express is not accepted a lot of places.
