SHOPPING IN COLOGNE

Since I was little I have always looked forward to shopping trips to Cologne.

Whether you’re shopping for yourself, gifts to take home, or just window shopping, there are tons of places to visit and explore. (I will say, if you’re looking for any skin care, toiletries, forgotten items that you mean to bring from home I’d direct your towards a DM Markt or any other “Walgreens-type” mart. OR if you’re looking to bring home any Haribos - because yes, we have ones you have never seen before and cannot get back home - or mustards, or any other grocery related items, just search for the grocery store nearest where you’re staying.

Now when it comes to clothing and souveniers, the range is wide - from high end shops like Louis Vuitton, shops with history like 4711 the home of Eau de Cologne, maybe you want to see how different H&M is here (it is, H&M came from Germany to the US and the styles do vary) or perhaps you want to do a bit of vintage/second-hand shopping. If you plan your route right, you can hit every shop you want to see in one day. Now be mindful, Cologne has cobblestone streets in some parts so wear appropriate footwear! (Again, I speak from experience…)

Have a blast and treat yourself!
